The Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) promotes entrepreneurship, self-employment, and livelihood generation for new and existing entrepreneurs in manufacturing and service sectors. Eligible candidates include SC/ST, women, and general category individuals who wish to start micro and small enterprises.
The scheme provides up to 35% subsidy for general category and 25% for SC/ST/OBC/women, with a maximum project cost of ₹50 lakh.
